Located just 10km from the cottage, along the shore of Head Lake and the Drag River, the village of Haliburton offers something for everyone. Enjoy a summer performance at the Highlands Summer Festival or take a week-long course at the Haliburton School of the Arts.

Enjoy golfing, horseback riding, mountian biking, hiking, an ATV adventure, or even a fresh water submarine ride in MacDonald Lake! The region is also home to some great shopping and dining out. Catch a movie at the local theatre or just stroll along the Lake Kashagawigamog waterfront. Visit the Wolf Sanctuary or a Walk in the Clouds, a hike above the forest and through the treetops.
During winter months,take a dog sled ride, or enjoy the many kilometers of trails for cross-country skiing, hiking, or snowmobile trails. Ice fish in any of the many lakes in the area or, right out in front of the cottage! For the skiiers, Rock Point is only 25 minutes from Sir Sam’s Ski Resort.
